I bet the Stagecoach driver knew he was in front and just dawdled along behind him meaning the arriva service just kept on picking up the passengers , seen it many times when the following driver isnt interested in taking the slack. |

Thats another thing, keeping to time, i just don't bother anymore. Better to drive safe and sound and get there when you can, than be reckless and run the risk of having a bump. As a driver, you have too much to lose nowadays. TT |

I'm glad to hear this in a way, as I often wondered how strict managers were with drivers who don't stick to the timetable (for perfectly good reasons), especially when the timetables are completely unrealistic, which is really the managers'/Merseytravel's/whoever's fault. Out of interest, how late do you have to be before you can start claiming additional pay/overtime? Do you have to write down the reasons for finishing late anywhere and does the management ever check somehow? |
