RE: Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire
The latest new Solo to arrive at Carlisle is YJ15EAG (a new series of registrations from the previous deliveries) and has colour flashes similar to the Enviro200s on service 76 but is not yet lettered up. I make that 12 of the 25 Euro5 Solos to have arrived, the others being YJ15AEB/AEC/AED/AEO/AEP/AET/AEU/AEV/AEW/AEX/AEZ. Apart from some having the route flashes, none of them are lettered up and are without fleet numbers. As none are yet in service they are taking up a large chunk of the garage so much so that the preserved Olympian has been evicted into the open! Anyone have a full list of fleet and regn numbers? (e.g. MB?) |

List I have so far is as follows. Note that the regs follow build/delivery order (pretty much), which is not the same as fleetnumber order (don't know why). 47942 YJ15 AEP 47944 YJ15 AEU 47945 YJ15 AEV 47946 YJ15 AEW 47947 YJ15 AEX 47948 YJ15 AEY 47949 YJ15 AEZ 47950 YJ15 AFA 47951 YJ15 AEB 47952 YJ15 AEC 47953 YJ15 AED 47956 YJ15 EAG 47961 YJ15 AEO 47962 YJ15 AET |

Nigel Winter is going to Stagecoach South Wales as John Gould is retiring at the end of August. His replacement has not yet been appointed. When John Gould left here for South Wales, Carlisle City Services were mainly worked by 49-seaters - when Nigel goes they will be mainly Solos - how times change... |

Reserve 22149 has gone to West Cumbria and their 18330 has been in the dead lane at Carlisle all week. |

Can confirm 47954/5 are YJ15 AEE/F. 47956 originally turned up with the wrong plate on - it is now correctly registered YJ15 AEG. |

RE: Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire
Back after a week's holiday and the latest Solos are YJ15 ACX/ACY/ACZ/ADO/ADU, fleetnumbers unknown. None of the new Solos are yet in service. Accident victim 34717 is now back in service looking very smart and the remains of 34589 which donated its front end are parked outside the garage. "New" open-top 17490 entered service a week ago but broke down this morning so there was a two-hour break on service 78 (Keswick-Seatoller). With engineering back-up 30 miles away and buses fifteen or more years old and not exactly having had an easy life, it is not a good set-up. The other open-top 17489 is currently being painted. Kendal depot's 34616 has been prepared for repaint, presumably into green livery. 18330 is still laid up in Carlisle. I have just noticed that 20219 is no longer here, not sure what has happened to it. |
