Although route 300 was lost to Arriva at the start of last week, some Solos such as 47786 are still at Stockport.

I would think quite soon they would cover the whole service. MAN's are being brought back into service now and being used on the 11 and 11A, which was predominately 59 reg ALX300s, presumably to free up the 300's for this purpose. Stockport are having to give up a lot of their double deckers to Hyde Road and Ashton now, as most of Hyde Road's routes cannot cope with just single deckers, and Ashton have had to switch the 347 to double decker as their ALX300s head to London.

I think the Solos will remain at Stockport as there is no suitable route for them anywhere else. Also there is the possibility, one day Stagecoach could re-gain the 300 route.

The Olympics do not go on for ever so why should they be transfers?

I would think that very much depends on what the plans are for after the Olympics.
There has been talk of Magic Olympians and/or MAN's leaving when the other buses return.
If things are just going to go back to how they were then they would just be loans, but most of the MAN's are now at Stockport, along with 2 old double deckers which surely won't be for the long term. Remember that sometime soon 40 hybrids will come to Stockport on the 192, leaving the current fleet redundant, so it could be that the MAN's will stay until that happens. Then if the Olympians leave, the oldest Hyde Road and Sharston fleet will go Magic, so the end result will mean the main Hyde Road and Sharston fleet return to how they were, Stockport goes almost totally double decker, and the now spare Ashton ALX300's could be transferred to Hyde Road to replace their MAN's.
I would think Stagecoach are probably planning well ahead, so the chances are very few of them will return to Stockport.
