An unknown Dart caught fire at the Bus Exchange this morning whilst laying over, presumably an electrical fire as flames were coming from the front dashboard, the exchange was evacuated before I could see what one it was.

Was the dart complete toast, or is it salvageable.

It looked mostly intact when we got shooed away, here's a news article on it by the Chester Chronicle: http://www.chesterchronicle.co.uk/news/c...us-6700153

It appears to have been an electrical fire which I've been told is common on the dart slf in heavy rain, water leaks in and shorts the main boards in the dash.

It looks salvageable and is apparently to be repaired.

Thats what it looks like as the fuse and electric circuits are there and is a real common fault with it being positioned at the front of the bus under the window screen where water gathers very bad and drips onto the fuses like R879 RHF as indicated as ive seen this happen a lot.

A quick question folks, does 28537 still reside in Rock Ferry depot?
