I live on the 32/33s route. 90% of the time the 32 is an Enviro400 and the 33 an Enviro300

Hyde Road had a diesel Enviro400 covering for a hybrid on the 197 yesterday. Not sure how unusual, if at all, this is. Also noted was MX13FNN on the 23A, looking distinctly out of place in Didsbury with its 192 branding.

Not been up that part of Manchester for a year, but that does sound unusual. Like having a hybrid on the 203 was unusual last year

They are fairly commonplace. I often see one early evening time. However, I didn't reckon they ran on Saturdays so this may be unusual.

Routes 23/a often see 192 Hybrids during the evenings and Sundays now. I actually saw examples on routes 22 and 314 today.

It's not really that unusual to see a diesel on a 197 as the hybrids do get shifted about quite a bit. The 192 branded buses seem to go on allsorts of routes though. I do wonder why they even bothered branding them when they get used so much on other routes, as like you say, they do look out of place.

If that was on a Sunday or Bank Holiday, hybrids are on the 203 routes quite a bit. Other than that, they do go on the 201/203 routes late at night sometimes.

I caught that bus twice a week for six months, and I only saw a hybrid on it once. The bank holiday thing sounds about right

I'm currently on the 540, I got on at 08:44 heading towards Wigan and the driver has his phone out on the dash, he's currently browsing Amazon whilst I'm attempting to stay stood up right due to his ridiculous driving. Isn't driving whilst using a mobile phone illegal?
And should I report it?

Yes it is illegal to drive and use your phone at the same time, I have seen another firms drivers use phones whilst driving a couple of times, their buses are yellow so you work it out. As for reporting, that is entirely up to you, driver could lose his job over it but then people could lose lives if he crashed whilst using the phone.

I reported the incident to the Lockett Road depot, people's lives should not be put at risk in like that. I'm very disappointed in the driver. Silly thing is that it was a B7RLE so the cab is recorded on the CCTV so it's clear that he was leaning over the wheel to reach his phone
