RE: Merseypride
If the coach passed an MOT with said tyre on then you can say the MOT station has some responsibility as does the company that sold the tyre. They just like any company have a duty of care so if Merseypride should be held to account, both the MOT station and the tyre sellers should be also.

Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

RE: Merseypride
Basically it is a combination of the 3 that should be held responsible, it is negligent of merseypride in the first place, a second hand tyre well really. Secondly the tyre seller for selling such an old tyre and not realising it was in such poor condition, this is assuming that it was bought off a tyre specialist, if not well what do you expect. Thirdly the MOT testers for not realising the tyre was knackered.

However, that said, the tyre will not have shown outwardly that it was past it, internally was where the problem lay and there may have been no way of telling, but a good tyre specialist should have known what they were selling as there was of course a way of telling how old the tyre was.

RE: Merseypride
Fair point, I surpose all 3 could be held responsible in some sense.

I know they were going to be further issues regarding their practices after the coach crash enquiry, maybe the owner has decided to bite the bullet early. Alternatively, the same incident may have impacted on their work, which to be fair rightly or wrongly wouldn't be a surprise.

Ashcrofts have run the services since around 1st November

Service 800 PageMoss > Knowsley Park

Quite possibly the first day of service as the driver told confused pupils to "Hurry up, get on" as they all dazed at the bus in confusion when the driver opened the doors.

B183 BLG has been in and out of their yard over the past few days with parts of its upper rear deck painted red.
