Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
RE: Stagecoach Manchester
X50 An additional stop is introduced at Hulme Hall Road. No change to timetable.

Service no longer worthy of an "X" in the route number tbh...

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
10049 seems to have got a problem with its doors, as they wouldn't close properly. Took the driver a good 5 mins to sort out before departing on the 76 from Oldham.

Normally the driver would have been able to drive with doors open but on these newer batch of Enviro 400s it locks the brake on and the bus can't move until the doors are fully shut

As for the situation with X50 being unworthy having the X in its title, well its only really Express when there isn't anything going on at Old Trafford, as when Man Utd are at home its anything but Express when the match has finished, I have said this before, in my opinion when Man Utd are at home after the match has finished the X50 should be diverted from Manchester via Regent Road, M602, M60 and off at J11 and into Trafford Center that way instead of having to sit for about an hour or more in traffic round Trafford Park

That's a load of twaddle...

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Anyone know what the yellow A4 size stickers are on the rear of some of the Enviro400's. They seem to have been applied to some of AZ's Enviro400's over weekend but I'm never close enough to read what it says.

Isn't it just First's Enviro400's that have that function. I wasn't aware of any of the Stagecoach Enviro400's brakes locking on while the doors are open - only an alarm sounds.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
It's an optional extra. Stagecoach don't bother as it just causes extra hassle, as anyone who saw The Route Masters on BBC2 a few weeks ago will know.

It did look like that was the case when the 76 was trying to depart from Oldham while the doors weren't fully closed (left side door kept getting stuck, right side door closed with no problems). It did sound like the driver was trying to pull away, as the engine kept revving but just couldn't move.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
The yellow sticker appearing on Stagecoach's Enviro 400s is a new warning sticker about being careful when passing the vehicle on the nearside
