Thought the 501 was a decker route?

What type of vehicles usually operate the 501/571/572?

501 is a B7RLE route although you do get the odd Enviro400 or B9 now and then.
571/2 are normally run by Scanias (with the 561/2s) with again the odd Enviro400, B7, B9 or Olympian.

RE: First Manchester
Quite a few Oldham depot Enviro 400s out on the shuttle service for Parklife at Heaton Park today. This saw some journeys on the 180/184 and 409 operated by B9TLs, while the 83 had B7RLEs on some of its journeys.

RE: First Manchester
I am encouraged that we are already seeing a gradual entry into service for these Enviro300s.

It has been hinted that First Manchester are getting some Wright Streetlites too. Does anyone know their lengths, fleetnumbers or expected month of arrival?

Interesting thing with this weekend's Parklife Concert is that the route First are taking from Miller Street-Heaton Park is via 135 route up Cheetham Hill Road to Halfway House then right onto Middleton Road down to Middleton Road Gates and into the park.

Another thing is that despite the drivers running boards stating meal breaks were to be took at Oldham Depot, a couple of Oldham Drivers who were doing the shuttles opted to have their breaks at Queens Road Depot as it was easier to get back to Heaton Park from there

Certainly made more sense to have it at Queens Road rather than travel all the way back to Mumps.

I was talking to one of my contacts from Bolton Depot on Saturday who was driving one of the buses used on Parklife Shuttle and he said another 4 Enviro 300s had arrived at Bolton Depot that morning
