Just in that a male has been struck by a train between blundellsands & crosby and waterloo at around 17:30 at brooke road east level crossing, this is not led to be a suicide. lord rest the poor soul and crew involved

RE: Merseyrail
Think the NR site must be a little behind, the service is currently being reinstated, with the usual selective cancellations while trains get back to right time

My thoughts are with the victim, his family and the train crew at this sad time. Anyone know which unit was involved?

RE: Merseyrail
Advertisers 507002 and 508111 both on the Southport line today but unfortunately not coupled together. 507001 also on there but no nostalgic pairing here either - it coupled with 507027 for evening peak. There have been a few replacement seat cloths fitted to 507002 but most already look baggy and some have come away; some older frayed cloths are also untouched. How hard can it be to fit a replacement seat properly? It and 508111 now look untidy internally as a result - not setting a good impression.

Outside Birkenhead North today were 507029 with some sort of fault (not to be moved marker fitted) and 507004 which has had some of its blue and grey patches coloured over in yellow in the most rudimentary fashion imaginable.

507003 and 507011 were involved, this was a six car service returning to southport. i was on this service home to hightown from formby from work about an hour and a half before when this service was going to hunts cross. wasn't a very good with the failed 508134 at ellesmere port. some odd rather big dark coloured stain on one end of 508134's second man's side. its coupled with 508122 on the southport line.

507019 was the unit with the stain. 134 was on the Wirral Line seen running ECS through Birkenhead around lunchtime.

RE: Merseyrail
Merseyrail kept some of the six car workings on the Southport Line in place for the Funeral of Anne Williams at Formby today , normally they would be run out with the end of the morning peak service .

507002 + 508126 with 508112 + 508115 also were some good formations on the southport line. RPI's and the BTP were at formby and freshfield train stations as anne williams's funeral was in the village.
