Going a bit off topic but in Recent Elections in Liverpool Labour has started to lose Ground to the Lib Dems and to a lesser degree The Green Party so would not rule out a change in a few years time. How that would affect planning permission in Liverpool however remains to be seen

RE: Liverpool City Centre bus re-routing proposals
The deadline is Jan 2020 because that whole ccms allocated funding runs out on set dates off each phase hence them already starting on the bus hub and Victoria street with no consultation yet . Sadly the consultation is merely a tick box exercise barely anything will change

It was announced today that the 'brains' behind this total reconfiguration of the city centre roads, Councillor James Noakes, will step down from his role next year and not seek re-election.

Everything from the Adelphi ‘south end’ will go direct to Liverpool One (75/80/82 all avoiding Renshaw St inbound,82CD,86D withdrawn).
Halton14 and 79C will go to Queen Sq via Pembroke Place and London Rd, avoiding Brownlow Hill
No Liverpool buses will serve any other point in the City..

Maybe the 26/27 circular will be split, and go just from Queen Square to Liverpool One via Shiel Road? In which case, as it would no longer be an actual circular, it could use say the number 26 in both directions.

According to Merseytravel's website, the 26/27 is unaffected by the proposed changes

There zero emission so don't need to be changed.

If they just made it a low emission bus zone, it wouldn't be so bad as then companies would use the most eco friendly buses on through city routes. That's the issue. It isn't just a low emission bus zone, they want a zero bus zone (that is the aim from what it looks like. It's just cross rivers and other services will be done later on if they get away with this first phase.

The only time it changed was after the problems with the Labour Party in the late 1980's.
anywhere else such a clueless muppet like him would be well kicked from office
