It looks like the new 'blueline' 32 is getting allocated 4 branded hybrid Versas.

Most probally 101-104 as they have already been painted up and just need vinylling.

£16 which does all of merseyside plus 352 st helens - wigan and services to runcorn and warrington.

Good value? A National Express West Midlands pass costs £16 and that is for all of their buses including Coventry! (Over 1,000 buses on around 200 routes). For the area you can travel, WOB is overly expensive (as many Warrington residents agree).

Arriva charges the same or £15 via online for the Merseyside plus as said on the comment above, For the entire North West is £18 or North West and the whole of North Wales is £20.

That was the thinking in 1985 when deregulation was introduced. By any measure you wish to choose, the reality doesn't support this assertion but why let opinion get in the way of facts.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition. Arriva, through three local depots have been treading into Warrington territory for many years. Warrington’s Own Buses are stepping up to the competition. As stated nothing wrong with operating healthy competition to local operators.

Arriva may operate into warrington for years but don't compete directly with any of there routes.
Remeber arriva closed there depot down in warrington which gave warrington transport a chance.
Things could of been a lot different if that depot was kept open.

One could argue that they do compete with WOB’s on various routes. The 32 and 15 service running from the bus station as far as Widnes Rd on the 110 and 7 services. Also the 19 and 22 service are in competition running from the Bus Station up Winwick Rd which can be a busy corridor as we know.

It’s obvious that there is competition between the operators for passenger numbers. Warringtons Own Buses are simply competing on routes in which Arriva have been serving for years. As stated competition is a good thing and rather than simply giving in the company are putting up a fight.
