Rumoured Network Rail won't be giving clearance for D-Trains to run between Chester and Crewe or allow them to run on the North Wales coast (for the purpose of switching Conwy Valley units over.) |

Sounds like platform end wibble to me, given that 230003 ran under its own power from Long Marston to Bletchley via Oxford and Coventry. |

Steam trains operate on mainlines occasionally but the chance of one being cleared for regular passenger services would be very slim. |

They should still be ok for Bidston - Wrexham services. Maybe also some Cardiff Valleys routes or Shrewsbury - Swansea via Knighton? |
