RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
According to a couple of drivers from rockferry, after a meeting with the boss yesterday, rockferry is looking at putting deckers on 1/2 next year and hoping to put the depot as full gold. All drivers now have to wear full gold uniform on all services except schools. Intresting times ahead |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
The 1 will have to be rerouted then due to low bridge at bache, also do chester drivers on 5 & 9 local routes have to wear gold uniforms as them routes been gold for a while now |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
It'd be nice to see the whole depot go Gold. I guess the current fleet for 1/2 would simply become the 41/2 and 38 fleet? |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral

If im being honest deckers on the 1 and 2 doesnt that seem a bit of overkill and with the X8 now at least 50% deckers is their the passengers , is it a vanity project . There is probably a case for some double deckers slid into the 41/42 service particulary of a Saturday now with the frequency reduction at the last service revision. |

The reroute wouldn't be massive just along Upton Lane instead of Mill Lane but rom what I see, Mill Lane is busy so eithe Stagecoach will need to put on another service or Arrowebrook will take all the passengers by diverting the 26. |

Vanity project or not, it shows how far the garage has come since First ownership. Investment in vehicles and lower fares have led to increased passenger numbers and route innovation/new routes as a result - its not rocket science. That said, I do miss the variety you used to get with the old Rock Ferry. |

The 1 and 2 will always be busy at the Chester end of the route because there is no direct link otherwise with Ellesmere Port , after Ellesmere Port on all the liverpool service a single decker most of the times is under 50% certaintly not a double deck load , maybe with the exception of the Cheshire Oaks peak loads which the depot will know of from previous years. Have chester the spare capacity for the passengers in Mill lane , Bache . One change of route at one depot has repercussions at the other depot. |
