HTL Buses
RE: HTL Buses
Not that I know of yet, but there may be more in the future!

I spent most of today driving the new Solo SRE YJ13 HJV on the 248am, 194e and 263 - very nice bus! The big wing mirrors are really good too, I thought they might seem too big but being a narrow bus anyway they work well! Thanks to Darren and John and all the supervisors for sorting out the bus swap for me for the day!

As as result, another odd working today was YJ61 MOA on the 173/4, swapped so I could have YJ13 HJV on my routes!

I do prefer the styling on the older solo's , they seem to be able to look more like a low floor vehicle than there newer brethren , the styling on there newer vehicles seems to be like a competition with the Streetlite

While I see what you mean, the Solo SR styling pre-dates the Wright Streetlite by a few years!

At least on these narrow Solo SRs though, they have flat glass on the sides, rather than the curved glass used on full width versions which must cost significantly more than the flat glass.

RE: HTL Buses
A couple of odd workings over the weekend, on Saturday evening and all day Sunday new Solo M720SRE YJ13 HJV was on the buses on the 196/147 (I got to drive it on both evening shifts!) while it also did the daytime run on Saturday on the morning 248 and daytime 163.

The previous newest Solo YJ12 PNN was unusually on the 174 on Sunday too!

RE: HTL Buses
Rare working today on the Asda Shopper bus, Mercedes Sprinter BX12 DZG is at the helm!

Quite possibly an Alero on the 897 again as a result, last night YN04 YAY was on 897 (rare for this to see use outside of Merseylink) but the more usual Alero to go on that is YJ56 ARZ.

RE: HTL Buses
A minor correction to previous information, the new Solo YJ13 HJV is an Optare Solo M7200SE-R, rather than an M720SRE, according to the info on Optare's website!

RE: HTL Buses
A few odd workings this morning, Solo YJ61 MOA was on route 897 (in place of Sprinter BX12 DZG - not sure if this swap remained in place all day however), and so Solo YJ12 GZH was on the morning 248/194 and the daytime 263 in place of MOA! YJ12 GZL was on the 173/4 in place of GZH too!
