I thought each bus and linked ticket machine had its own SIM card which transmitted its GPS position over the cellular network every 15 seconds. |

It is but sadly there are ways in which you can prevent the GPS from working, but continue to use the ticket machine by simply pulling the machine slightly forward out of the 'socket'. GPS doesn't always work on the ticket machines either. A few buses are fitted with GPS in the machines, but as with technology it can break overtime. |

Strangely the app has real time information for the "501" between LSP - Liverpool Airport, even showing the bus moving despite that service being withdrawn for some time. Oh Superman where are you now, when everything's gone wrong somehow, the men of steel, the men of power, are losing control by the hour.

It looks like Arriva have upgraded their app. The feature I particularly like is that route numbers are shown on the map as this is extremely useful when waiting on a heavily-bused corridor and a convoy is heading your way. |
