Four buses are required to operate the service. When the previous Scanias were on, they would be replaced when required by a MAN Enviro300 or a Trident so presumably this will continue from time to time.

Saw a photo of a solo working an x5 service from workington to keswick surely this cant be a normal working can it

The Solo was probably on one of the short workings on the opposite half-hour to the main Workington-Penrith service. These journeys are normally Dart SLFs but different types do appear.

The new gold Scanias 15920-3 have indeed been allocated to the 300/1, but of the former Scanias 15683 is now allocated to Barrow, but 15684-6 remain at Lillyhall and can be seen on the 30/31 services as Enviro 300s 27766/7 have been transferred to Carlisle.

Reserve Solo 47009 can still be seen on Workington (and presumably Whitehaven) locals.

Dart 34218 has now been returned to service at Lillyhall ex Reserve. Presumably this is to replace 35247 which is now up for disposal (what happened to this by the way?).

A Solo can be seen working a late X5 duty.

The S registered coaches used on the Carlisle-Newcastle 685 service have been transferred to Reserve. Are 27766/7, recently transferred from Lillyhall, now used on this service?

Solo 47616 was work the Tallentire 58A service and Cockermouth local 58 to Rose Lane today.
