Is the move to Arrowe Park Hospital for the 47 the precursor to something else operating via Saughall Massie .

Im not being critical but some of these services are being chopped and changed so many times now .

Hmmm 47 departs just after the 203, more like 12 minutes after the 203, the 47 is 14-44 from Birkenhead whilst the 203 is 02-32, although the first 47 is 6:14am whilst 203 is 7:02am.

On a Sunday , the 0614 trip should actually start with its return working at 0645 from Arrowe park hospital , the 0644 trip should start at a point enroute at Bidston Village Road at 0657 towards Arrowe Park Hospital. Weekdays can not see a problem .

What is Merseytravel's policy on part route competition between commercial and tendered operation as the 118/119 (Evenings and Sundays) will follow the same route between Tollemache Road and Arrowe Park Hospital .

The evening and Sunday 47 seems a bit pointless, due to the Merseytravel Contract fares between Birkenhead and Beechwood (492/495) & St James Church - Arrowe Park (118 & 119)

I really hope that there will be no major changes to the 98. People are just getting to know the service and patronage is increasing.

Meanwhile, the 39 has been changed from the 29th of July to serve Town Meadow Lane again. This is a change that will benefit the service - more running time (four buses will be on the service) and more journeys in the evening.

I hope not to, but by the looks of it, i have a feeling that it will be extended to serve to Saughall Massie omitting town Meadow, and travelling up Hoylake road. Kind of makes sense because of the 47 not serving there anymore and the 39 serving town meadow again.

Time now after these alterations for the company to settle down , how many times do you see the likes of Stagecoach and arriva alter routes to a large extent , they usually just leave it to about once a year , people do not like change when it comes to travel habits .
