What makes me laugh is how since arriva was removed from the franchise northern don't seem to be in the spotlight anymore yet seem to be having just as many problems , yet no one seems to be complaining anymore. |

It was the Rmt union and TfN v Arriva , there was only ever going to be one winner , and it was never going to be Arriva , be honest. |

The proportion of passengers complaining is probably the same but the number of passengers is significantly lower currently. |

Well I hope they're very happy with themselves because their pathetic Arriva witch hunt has achieved the square root of nothing Arriva were just a convenient scapegoat for the DfT to blame for their own complete failure to deliver on their promises. The Tories and Burnham did well scoring political points out of it too SK15 GZG

And also on one Southport-Stalybridge diagram - would be interested to know if they run electric from Bolton to Victoria. . Newly reformed 3-car 150s also started yesterday on the Clitheroe route - not really an improvement on 156/158+153. |

These were created while 4 car 150s were still running on the Southport services, so probably used the trains not being used while lines were running at a reduced frequency. There was always a plan to reform some 150s in to 3 car sets when the cascaded trains arrived from GWR, to use alongside the 2 x 3 car 150/0s. |
