RE: Northern Trains Ltd
Government have said operators should be providing around 70% of their usual services from mid-May, up from the current 50%. Although, I'm not sure Northern are providing 50% - on many routes they are currently providing 50% of the standard off-peak frequency with a later start, earlier finish and without providing peak time extras. |

I hope there's more services still to be loaded. The Mid-Cheshire is still showing a 2 hourly service for next week - that won't exactly allow people to stagger their start and finish times given that means only one pre-9am arrival in Manchester, with the following one not reaching Piccadilly until 10:30! |

RE: Northern Trains Ltd
Northern have just told Rail North that Pacers will be used to transfer staff around instead of taxis in some cases to allow social distancing. Also: - A number of Pacers will be retained until 31st December 2020 and could be used for passenger services if needed. - Class 769 introduction and introduction of further new trains delayed due to COVID-19 delaying training. - 100 day plan has not been completed and may now be revised if Northern "don't want to return to the pre-COVID19 timetables" |

Wouldn't it mean driver training is needed if a 144 was sent to say Allerton for shunting staff between Allerton and Lime Street, which wouldn't for a 142? The 4 142s at Blackburn will probably be used. --- Thanks Ant Check out my YouTube Channel updated regularly at 18:00 Most Days; https://www.youtube.com/c/apdmediatransp...nel/videos Check out my content on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/envirohunter https://www.flickr.com/photos/envirohunter/albums Updated recently with a trip down to the South Coast in 2021 & Railway Pictures from 2017. |
