Since writing the post last night , i have found that the Friends of the Ferries group have had reservations that the two ship operation would work , this has now shown itself to be correct it wont work , Mersey Ferries now seems to think the Manchester Ship Canal Cruises are now more important than there River Cruises , it is a sorry state of affairs .
Snowdrop was back in use today on the normal service giving the Iris a well earned rest day.
Due to a problem with the lock gates the Mersey Ferry service did not start until approx 0930.
The service has currently also been suspended due to an incident at Seacombe Ferry Terminal

The ferry service was suspended whilst an investigation was carried out. BBC North West had a reporter out at Seacombe for the whole evening but not once did she mention the obvious question - how could the child have fallen in if it had a responsible adult in charge?
From what i have been told from a captain the girl was stood on one of the benches near the back of the ferry. Said benches have now been removed as a precaution
