The first of the 10 has been painted white and is waiting for vinyls to be applied - possibly England flags similar to what Go North East have done. 69177 has been done with the rest rapidly following. I’m presuming these paint jobs are being done in-house rather than externally.
Appears they are allover white with GNW vinyls with promises of
better buses coming soon! on the sides. Gets rid of the awful First livery once and for all too.

If sold on it will probably be worth more than it would if it wasn’t repainted the Olympia livery isn’t the smartest of liveries

No and the ones retained were actually some of the worst body work Wise. They are not actually bad buses pitty they left it so late to paint them but certainly look better than they did.

They are still very good buses just getting old and have been worked hard throughout their lives

The only reason they were never intended to remain is because of their age with regards to the contract age limit. To be fair Diamond have made theirs look very smart.
Considering their saying better buses coming soon brings up some questions:
1> What are these buses that are coming soon?
2> Where are these better buses? It can't be the Citaroes as their already in service
3> Are these better buses new buses or buses that Go Northwest are getting from elsewhere?
4> How soon are these better buses due to arrive which also means how long are Go Northwest planning on keeping these B7s in service?
Obviously Go Northwest have got plans for Queens Road Depot and updating the age of the current fleet so why put these straplines on older buses if replacement vehicles are not planned to arrive in next couple of months or sooner?

Apparently the B7’s are only being retained so the rest of the fleet can have exhaust and emission upgrades but I suspect it also has a lot to do with the citaros being pretty unreliable.
No new buses will be ordered for Manchester until they know if they still have Queens Road or the Routes. They may get some buses from other units but what they have currently will keep them going once they had the emission upgrades.

Read the vinyls on the bus ‘better’ not new.
Nobody has implied or said they are getting new buses.
