Noticed 4848 out on the 82's today.
From those pictures on the echo, it looks more like an attack because of the headlock the driver used
The grey area is determining if the driver was acting in self defence, if the offender posed no threat to driver after damaging the bus and the driver has gone at him then it doesn't constitute self defence and would be common assault. If the driver has attempted to stop the cyclist whilst he's been damaging the bus then the driver is well within his rights to use reasonable force to prevent loss or damage, the fine line is if restraining via the means of a headlock constitutes reasonable force.
All very grey really, hopefully it will all be dealt with internally and that Arriva's own investigation is as far as it goes.

It's been taxed (BV17 CJX) but I haven't seen it out and about yet

4815 was on the 82 today, while 4123 started its day on the 79/79D and had switched to the 80A by teatime.
