Nice to see some of Speke's new deckers out on the 79 today. I just hope this solves the problem of virtually daily single deck allocations on the 79 prior to their arrival. To this end, it's a shame so many deckers have left in place of the hybrids. Never mind - maybe there will be some more new ones before too long to complete Speke's transformation into an all decker depot.

It should do. There's 25 buses in the allocation for a PVR of 24 (7 on Sundays - Something I majorly disagree with).

I thought Speke were due 25 hybrids?
Does anyone know which hybrids are now in service here?

I have seen 4808-4829, 4840, 4849 in service.
I originally read that Speke were only expecting 24, although I've since seen a figure of 25 quoted, so I don't know if there's another to come or not. Of the remainder I've seen all in service from GL except 4835, 4848 and 4850.

Does that mean 4818 is back on the road after its crash with the "concrete tyre" at Birkenhead whilst on Rails?
