Yet Mr Shooter claimed they could match 75mph timings on stopping services despite only having a 60mph top speed as Shooter claimed they are quicker off the mark.
172003 and 172008 are now in WMR Orange Livery and were out on test on the Leamington to Nuneaton line yesterday.
319429 was on test last night between Preston and Salford!

On Saturdays most Euston-Birmingham-Liverpool services will be eight cars.
Class 350368 seen at Rugeley Town station.
They will be a common sight at Rugeley Town soon. There is even a LIV-BHM-RGL service at 0636 in the new timetable.

I had a trip on Wednesday - the half minute station times seemed unattainable.

At the moment, the BHM-RGL service is booked as class 170. From 19th May, the class 350 will take over from the class 170. I would imagine that the class 170 will be transferred onto the BHM-SHR service.
172004 is transferring from Ilford to Tyseley today.
