More likely preston bus/diamond as by the looks of it the 3A will be withdrawn and replaced by the 312 and 313

About two years ago LCC withdrew virtually all of its subsidised services. Has there been a reconsideration of these services or has a money tree been found?

That's quite impressive in terms of hours of operation going into the early evening past the usual roughly 1800 finish.

They managed to maintain funding for some Mon - Sat daytime services. If you look across Lancashire, you will find a much reduced Evening & Sunday network with a lot of services finishing earlier in the evening whereas previously there would have been subsidised later journeys.

There has always been an unsubsidised service to Ashurst and Birch Green since D-Reg over 30 years ago, even competition at one time. Maybe it's just a pain in the a**e for Arriva to use resource for local service since Skem closed? LCC may not have to subsidy very much to do this.

RE: Lancashire County Council Service Changes
Given the ongoing doom and gloom around service cuts, it is pleasing to read that Lancashire County Council has additional budget (£1m) to put towards bus provision. With previously lost links restored, and enhancements to current subsidised routes.

Now, I just need to work out how to paste the proposals here - maybe you can work your magic St Helens Rider :-) - the press release and list of routes is on the LCC website.
