Nice photo of 8114, maljoe.

I've seen both GO Transit 8100 and 8103 in Bootle recently.
8114 was obviously being driven to Seaforth Freeport (for shipment to Canada) from ADL Falkirk.
Apologies for going off-topicWink

RE: Stagecoach Merseyside - Gillmoss Depot
If anyone has the chance to pass Gillmoss in the next few days or so....have a look to see if there is anything being stored pending allocation to Chester/Birkenhead, seems some of the ex Scottish Darts (34596-34603 & a few 337**) have disappeared from Hyde Road depot in Manchester and as they seem to be now intended for Chester/Birkenhead, would have thought Gillmoss would be the most likely place to store them until nearer the day of the takeover......

The darts that were for Wigan are now going to Chester/Birkenhead. They *should* mostly be at GM now, though I hear a few are still at Hyde Rd awaiting paint.

With space being limited at Gillmoss there is a good chance a lot of buses will probably be stored at Lillyhall, as Gillmoss have kept the Volvo's that were used when the newer vehicles went to London for Oylmpic duties in storage here for use at RF and Chester.

Lillyhall will not be used; there's no need.

Plus, why take the vehicles all the way to Manchester before returning them to Cumbria (3hr drive) before taking them to Merseyside (another 3hrs).

Because the change to Stagecoach from First at RF and Chester is not until 6 weeks time, so storage movements will be plentiful believe me....

Would they really start to stockpile replacements so soon if takeover isn't for another 6 weeks, if they have already started surely that would suggest a takeover sooner rather than later![/align]

The ex Scottish Darts are at Gillmoss, they're parked in the corner next to the A580, motorway end of the depot.

Pics from the day with a brief visit to Wigan depot on the first day of Stagecoach operation.

The takeover from what I've heard via usual sources (so within SC) will have happened by Christmas.

Also, no C&NL staff are aware of any new vehicles being stored at Lillyhall, that's not to say that it won't be used for holding disposal vehicles in the new year.
