According to Quack 77 36791/96 are at Preston and 36799 at Gillmoss. All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles |

Not sure where to post this, but according to this ECHO article Stagecoach could get around 58 electric double-decker buses operating within the Liverpool City Region should the bid go before authority leaders next week. https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liv...s-28254802 |

There are actually two bids. The main bid is for 58 (52+6), to convert the 14, 17, 19, 20/21. The other is a fallback bid, 24 (21+3) for the 17, 19. Stagecoach has indicated they're prepared to fund the procurement themselves, but LCR are reluctant as they want to control the specification and own the buses from the outset. |

At one time, all Boxing Day/New Year's Day services were funded by Merseytravel, most services operated until late night too, here's one from 2000 which shows all Boxing Day/New Year's Day services funded by Merseytravel https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GESbLDB...4_QGV/view shortly after Arriva, GTL, & First [now just Arriva & Stagecoach] started operating Boxing Day/New Year's Day services commercially but last buses are 6-7pm rather than finishing late night, this year services have been dramatically reduced, certainly if you're relying on Arriva. The boxing day and new year services merseytravel normally pay for but this year merseytravel have apparently said they are not willing to fund it. |
