Last Buses on Christmas Eve/New Years Eve 2012 only!

http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/promotion...202012.pdf

In regard to Boxing Day/New Years Day running the Merseytravel guide is correct, the only HTL services that will run Boxing Day will be routes 209/259, 102 & 17B. New Years Day will be the same, but with the addition of routes 166/188 also running.
just noticed a mistake on this, the last 360 from newton station will not run the last bus is the last one from warrington as my mates on the duty what does both

17 (Liverpool - Fazakerley, Kirkby or Kirkby Admin)
The times are changed.
http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travellin...02013).pdf

19/19A/19B/119/244/919 (Liverpool - Gillmoss, Croxteth or Kirkby/Gillmoss Park & Ride - Walton)
Routes 19, 19A and 119: some times are changed.
http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travellin...02013).pdf

Valid from 21st January 2013:

83 (Birkenhead - West Kirby)
Buses are rerouted to run via Borough Road and Prenton Road West in both directions instead of Oxton Road.
(The times are unchanged.)
http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travellin...02013).pdf

183/184 (Liverpool - Penny Lane (Allerton))
The times are changed.
Buses now offer the ‘Hail and Ride’ facility around Sefton Park.
http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travellin...02013).pdf

Valid from 27th January 2013:

61 (Liverpool - Rainhill Stoops, Widnes or Murdishaw)
Route 161: buses are renumbered 61 and are now operated for Merseytravel by Eazibus.
The Sunday afternoon bus from Rainhill to Huyton is withdrawn.
(Halton Transport’s Route 61 is unchanged.)
http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/travellin...02013).pdf

68/168 (Bootle - Aigburth Vale)
Route 168: all buses are now operated for Merseytravel by Peoplesbus.
The route is changed in the Bootle area so buses run direct via Marsh Lane, instead of Stanley Road (the same as Arriva’s Route 68).
As a result, the times in the Bootle area are slightly changed.
The short Sunday morning bus that currently runs between Old Swan and Aigburth now starts from Bootle.

The service, along with new Route 26A, now runs as a circular linking Widnes with Widnes Waterfront, Cronton, Farnworth and Hough Green.
(Route 10 is unchanged but is now shown in a separate leaflet.)

Timetable for the new 249, waste of money if you ask me as the 8/9/897 already link Huyton to Knowsley Leisure & Culture Park but there you go...

Fair enough the 897 runs during the times of the 249 (albeit less frequently), but the 8 and 9 don't.

Good point actually, but surely if they're saying it's a link to where the 8/9 serve already they'd just fund the tender from 18:00-23:00?

Don't see the point of the 4 journeys on a Saturday - either run same as Mon-Fri or not at all but just 4 journeys will just lead to confusion for passengers.

8/9 don't run on eve/sundays and gives a bus on the 139/193 something to do Wink

RE: Merseytravel Timetable Changes
Also not mentioned within Merseyside, the 597 from today will no longer come into Merseyside - now mostly running Leigh Sports Village - Leigh Infirmary with some journeys extended to Boothstown.

That's from Sunday. Today was the last day of Merseyside operation on the 597... that will probably be mentioned in a future update.

That's what I was meaning. Can't say I'm that surprised as it always appeared to be carrying fresh air around at the Lowton/Newton end of the route.
