Is it not possible for them to keep the evening service half hourly? It’s kind of a mixture of half hourly, then 45 minutes then half hourly again.

Also the Sunday evening services could just mirror the Sunday daytime service (minus the 42), yet they run to different times and have a 10 minute layover at mill park

If you look at the Sunday evening times where have the 42 journeys disappeared to all seem to be 41 services. Looks like a one way loop of Bromborough and Mill Park.

Yeah Sunday evenings have only ever been the 41 or 41A. Only time of the week the service drops to hourly

Introduced due to some of the afternoon journeys not being able to complete the timetable at present in the allotted time , meaning the return journey has been departing late as well , this is to make the return journeys more reliable probably back to West Kirby , peopl wont want to wait if the bus is significantly late .

RE: Merseytravel Timetable Changes
Just noticed this on Merseytravels site, apparently from today.

19 August 2019

St Helens

39/39A St Helens - Newton Community Hospital/Rainhill Station
Route 39 is rerouted via Jackson Street and extended via Burtonwood, Collins Green and Earlestown to Newton Community Hospital, replacing the withdrawn daytime service on route 141. The frequency is reduced to every 2 hours.
Route 39A is unchanged.

It looks like it’s the beginning of the end for the daytime 39 if it’s every 2 hours

RE: Merseytravel Timetable Changes
Looking at the timetable it's just to keep it to needing only 1 bus.
