I spent a lot of time on Charlotte Street and Halewood looking for them, found 9 out of the 12 and they where allocated as follows:

76 - 4681, 4682 and 4683
78 - 5685, 4687 and 4690

Out of the Ex Welsh Commanders i only saw 2504 and that was on the 80

As for the Cadets (as am told their leaving as well?) 2497 was on the 76 lates, 2633 was on the 75s and 2639 was on the 80s

Interesting meeting in Liverpool last week regarding life after bus lanes -

Mr Farrall used Arriva Merseyside’s high-frequency service 79, from Liverpool to Halewood, to illustrate the effect of the bus lanes’ removal. “Prior to this we had worked through reliability issues by speaking to drivers and users. We put an extra vehicle into the service, which made it very reliable – until the bus lanes were taken away.”

He points out that, where bus lanes have been withdrawn, the space is often used by residents to park their cars, rather than to speed the flow of all traffic, as the Mayor intended.

“We also find the lack of predictability very difficult to deal with,” says Mr Farrall. “Since October 2013 we have had to add nine additional buses to our city network. In real terms, that’s around a £1m investment.”

Figures from the operator show that average journey times for the area’s buses, regardless of whether they used bus lanes or not, increased by on average 1% following the lanes’ removal. For non-bus journeys, average journey times increased by an average of 1.5%.

However, on Arriva’s route 79, average journey times increased by up to 13.4% during the peaks and by up to 5.6% between them. Arriva will add a further two buses to the service’s PVR next month.

The increased PVR vehicles do they come from the maintainence spare vehicles that would otherwise not be used except to cover for failures .

This is hardly a surprise to anybody but Joe Anderson. Writing as a motorist, the most annoying thing is the point made about residents now simply using the former bus lanes as a place to park their cars at peak times thus making the whole rationale of the policy redundant. Unless these sections of road are made urban clearways (where stopping is not allowed and punishable by a fine) it will inevitably slow down traffic for everybody.

Just seen commander 2584 on 81, it's looking good sporting a nice new paint job, shiny silver wheels and interior refresh.

They will come from just keeping extra vehicles that would have been down for transfer when the new buses arrived, so not physically getting extra buses, although the depots daily PVR will obviously go up, and so more drivers and wages too need paying then.

The former bus lane on Childwall Valley Road between Score Lane and Childwall Fiveways has always been used by residents to park their cars even when the bus lane was in operation. A visit from the traffic wardens would be useful.
