The vehicle off the daytime 6 runs goes onto the evening 27 trips
The 17c/64b now are one vehicle off the 17s and one off the 5
The 1815 X1 to Durham now works off the 27
All 631/632s now work off the 28/30s
The 627 no longer works off the 7, not sure what does work onto it instead

The first 627 journey (18:50 ex Swans Corner) operates off the back of a 28/30 board - which terminates at Swans Corner at 18:49. From 19:20 onwards, the 627 is worked by a vehicle that had been operating a 17 board.

The 18:15 X1 ex Middlesbrough operates off the back of a 5A board all week.

The last X6 ex Middlesbrough (18:40) is operated by a 17 board.

The first 27 (06:01 M-F) ex Netherfields is operated by a long 5 board. You are correct that the bus on Service 6 takes over from 18:20 onwards.

A long 5 board operates the 06:41 ex Guisborough M-F Service 28 - arriving in Middlesbrough at 07:40 and departing as a 5 to Whitby at 07:45. In comparison, the 06:48 Service 5 from Brotton Green Tree is a Redcar 63 board, arriving at the same time as the bus above in Middlesbrough (07:40). The reason for this is for driving time regulations - a single driver from SN could not complete the light trip to Brotton, back to Middlesbrough and a full Whitby and back without going over his/her hours.

The evening 5b journeys are operated by a vehicles off X1 and 28 boards.

You may see some changes to what is detailed as lots of these duties have their breaks at SN depot. Resulting in a selected vehicle being taken back out - rather than the allocated one! But the boards are the same as detailed above

Ah, got a bit mixed up about what does that evening X1 trip, last night it was 1492 and until I've just checked I thought it was on the 27s yesterday.

As for that long 5 (0745 from Middlesbrough), I was aware of that from Wednesday morning seeing two Pulsars turn up with 5 on the display. I only wish the Stockton one had come in with the 28 one, not something you see normally a Pulsar on the 28.

RE: Arriva North East
For most of my interurban bus rides just over a week from now I shall take whatever comes. I just wonder which routes in Newcastle operate ex-London DLAs? I hope it is easy to track one down at Haymarket Bus Station! I doubt any would serve Eldon Square Bus Station.

They appear on most of the Jesmond-run routes except for the 46/46a/X40, 55 and NexusBus runs.

They are fairly common on the 306/356, but after all it is Arriva Northumbria and they don't understand what an allocation is....

There's no such route as the 356, hasn't been since March 2010 when it became the 56 Wink In theory, they're are common on anything they operate (bar 46/46a/X40, 55, 6, W2/59, 355, M71), though also can't appear on the 685 for obvious reasons (not entirely sure if any of them have tachographs).

I know route 306, as I rode this route in 1998 before getting to know the area a bit better subsquently. I can go on a DLA anywhere from Haymarket Bus Station really.

If you're that far behind with the Northumbria Big Change changes, I'm expected to still see refeneces to Redcar's 48 route in 2 years time then (despite it being the 4 now Wink )
