I'm glad to hear this in a way, as I often wondered how strict managers were with drivers who don't stick to the timetable (for perfectly good reasons), especially when the timetables are completely unrealistic, which is really the managers'/Merseytravel's/whoever's fault.

Out of interest, how late do you have to be before you can start claiming additional pay/overtime?
Do you have to write down the reasons for finishing late anywhere and does the management ever check somehow?
