Allocating the spare Enviro400s to busy 89 workings is a good idea. 4618 was certainly carrying a healthy load on its way out of St Helens.

2986 sounds very poorly now, it jumped out of gear whilst on the 352 before finding its gears again - however, after this there was an awful jolt and 'dull' noise upon deceleration - with almost every gearchange down through the gearbox. This happened whilst changing up a few times too. Didn't sound very good at all and you could even hear it outside the bus too, the banging noise.
