Noteworthy is a diversion on the 10A for 2 weeks from this forthcoming Sunday. Due to a closure along Rainhill road, it's instead travelling from St Helens to Thatto Heath as normal then turning right at the 4-way traffic lights down Scholes lane. Then, it's going as an 89 to Whiston Hospital (Scholes lane > Portico Lane > Delph Lane) before returning to its normal route to Liverpool. Same on the return journey.

It's been out for a few days now Terry - was out on the 31s the afternoon of the day it returned.

It is worth noting though that, since the arrival of the SRs, I've seen 2 standard Solos on 33/As and with 680 being on there today, that's the third to my knowledge. The SRs are fine for size but with 7 fewer seats and less space to stand, I can understand your complaints for the peak runs though, to be fair, it'll run around just fine outside of those peak periods!

I am yet to see a 58 plated solo on there, my information in fact came from a very unhappy train spotter.

The Solo SRs will only just get away with it if it runs on route off peak, any other time you get full seating load on a dart as it is.

One of the original Solos used to get on to the 33A every morning, stupid decision as it was always packed with schoolkids.

that was the point of that 33A, it was an extra to take some pressure of the original 33A but it continued on to carmel college at toll bar then would run dead to skem to operate the 312.
