RE: Stagecoach Manchester
From what I've heard on here, the S reg tridents are much better than the older Enviro400s. Hopefully at Wigan they'll keep the older Enviro400s for schools, I'd rather not get the 32 after a bunch of the Eddies lot have been on it.

Forgive me, scania1996...the trident must go back south devon correct? any idea why? thank you

Martyn
I've no idea why Martin, I'm not certain that they're going back to Devon but definitely down south. An 08 plate Enviro400 with a Grand National rear advert has also arrived, I'll get the fleet numbers tomorrow.

Correct, they are much more simpler to work on as well

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Wigan's 19079 sounds terrible, saw it out on X34s on Thursday evening and I must say that I feel sorry for anyone on there all the way from Leigh to Manchester.

The Tridents seemed to have vanished from AZ, not seen them working of late or 40660 come to think of it.

Nice to see the influx of younger Enviro400's on AZ workings over the weekend. Their in such a better condition than the older 'sheds' and you can actually hold a conversation downstairs without having to shout.

Thanks for that.
I think there is one trident remaining at Ashton, 17670. It was on the 216 yesterday.
A good few 57 reg's have transferred from Hyde Road to Ashton in the last few days, releasing some of the 56 reg's for cascade. I'm sure we'll all be very sad to see them go LOL

17670 is active nearly every day on the 231 and school services. All pre-09 Enviro400s are crap, end of.

The 08 Enviro400's at AZ are a huge improvement on the older ones but having said that AZ have a habbit of running half decent buses into the ground so no doubt in the next 12 months or so the newer Enviro400's will sound as bad as the 56 and 07 reg ones Smile

It seems to be a bit of a pattern. Hyde Road keep them for 5 years or so, then they get moved to Ashton for a year before being cascaded. Some of the Hyde Road drivers are a bit heavy footed though, which probably explains why the buses are on their last legs by the time they arrive at Ashton. Smile LOL
