It's all part of the same company, haytons name and operations vanished long time ago. RATP are now pulling most of the strings and they have state they want contract and bus work only. Private hire is slowly being wound down.

RE: Selwyns
RATP believe they could be one of the main operators in Greater Manchester if bus franchising happens.

So it does. Also noticed that it shows the Hail & Ride section as only being part of the Mon-Sat daytime route so that would suggest Selwyns are operating that, unless there's a route change to the evening and Sunday service.

Still unsure of what busses are to be used but there was 2x61 reg deckers in Runcorn. These are ex first London busses

Those are school buses.

It's likely to be some sort of midibus drafted in from other RATP operations such as Yellow Buses or RATP Dev London, similar to how the 3/a/b is being ran out of Runcorn.

Ironic that there looking at Manchester again to operate regular passenger services, as when they first took over Haytons the first thing they did was hand back all TFGM contracts.

Many operators don't have suitable buses when they are first awarded a new contract, take Howards for example using 43 and 51 seater buses on the 200 and 289 routes initially until they got some smaller Enviro 200s and later the Metrocity. Although in that case they had to start running the routes straight away rather than having a couple of months to sort out vehicles between the contract being awarded and the service starting.

Will keep a eye out when am in work. Was bad enough having to drive one of the busses back from Bournemouth to Runcorn.

The London Omnibus Traction Society expressed surprise about new buses being ordered for RATP London United / Epsom Buses Quality Line route 470. As it currently uses Solo SRs, I think these will come north for Stockport - Macclesfield routes.
