They then went to long time Ailsa user Black Prince who had the rear exit one V3 and kept these couple until selling them on to Isle Coaches in the early 2000's. One of V1/2 got preserved now too.

Surprised the Ailsa's never operated from a Liverpool depot, even as a loan as they spent all their Merseyside careers at LS.

The ex-MTL London Ailsas that ended up in Liverpool, I think (from bad memory) they were numbered 0083/0084 and did see some revenue-earning service. I have a pic of one of them showing tendered route 122 Crosby-Fazakerley but garaged at either Carnegie Road or Edge Lane, mid-90s
