I was on 4592 coming in and out of town this morning with it being on the 18, noticed it went into Stand 4 when I was coming out of town I believe that was previously used by the 10A services on the QBN but still shares it with the 15, Stand 5 is now also occupied by the 14 and it's A/B/X services.

I know this isn't related to the thread but i'm curious to why the stands for bus services have been changed, does it have anything to do with the roadworks on Lime Street?
AIUI, Due to the mix about of bus services, it made sense to mix up the stands to even out the buses per hour. Some of the changes were unnesecary but others made a bit more sense. I think only 1 stand on that side of the road was kept the same, everything else was moved about.

Oh, and all done with no notice to passengers either (top marks to Merseytravel)

With schools set to return next week, it'll be likely that weekday frequencies will be re-timed and/or increased from next Monday.

Some details so far:
  • Stagecoach will be doing so on some of its services in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire, although no details of service levels yet.
  • Diamond Bus North West will be running duplicate journeys on some routes (some will be partial route).
  • Re-timing of weekday timetables on Transdev's 1 (Blackburn), 6/7 (Blackburn), 22, 24, 464, 468, 469, Mainline and Pendle Wizz routes, with some schoolday only journeys introduced on some routes.

There’s been somewhat of an overhaul across both L1 and QS bus station. For example, the 75 and 80/A used to depart from Stand 7 and the X1, 500, 204, 4A etc used to depart from Stand 8 at L1. They were then swapped round. I don’t see the reasoning in this, but I suppose there’s some method in the madness (internally at least) as we all know how tightly Merseytravel like to control stopping places.

The Arriva website must be the most people unfriendly page i have ever come across , im sure people would give up and look at the Merseytravel website for local services than use that.

Can admit, Merseytravel at least confirm the operator running each service instead of putting a table with narrow sections, becomes hard to read after a while

Since I don't think it's been mentioned here yet, there are changes to Warrington's services from tomorrow (8th March) as follows:

Although very much off topic, I totally agree with your opinion regarding the Arriva website. When I log on, my "nearest stop" is six miles away in a part of Merseyside (Kirkby) where Arriva doesn't operate. Try as I might I was unable to locate the bus that I was looking for and resorted to a printed timetable.

As for the Merseytravel site, that is even more exasperating. Yesterday it gave me a route plan that involved seven changes of service that would have taken over three hours for a journey that should in reality only require one direct service taking 16 minutes.

The Arriva website had to be the worst website on the new from all the operators out there it's completely unusable, the old site was bad but at least useable, PDF timetables are dreadful, with every stop shown, that some routes go to 5 pages for one simple journey.
