RE: Stagecoach MCSL - Gillmoss Depot
I've just uploaded my latest photos so here are some of them that my be of interest:

Stagecoach MCSL 24123 PX59 AZN, one of the two MAN 18.240s recently transferred from Carlisle.

Stagecoach MCSL 15910 PE13 LSV (with 15911 & 19512) behind seen before going to Cheltenham, however all are now back from their days at the races!

Stagecoach MCSL 24174 PO59 MXH with its newly fitted Cummins Euro6 engine.
Not much obvious externally, other the the AdBlue filler flap at rear offside, a new vent on the rear nearside (currently in black but I assume it'll get painted red soon!) and the flat exhaust pipe, similar to those on MMCs. In the cab there are various additional lights too.

Finally an additional Optare Solo, 47675 PX58 EZN, has been in service at Gillmoss all week on the 97/98 and 136/235.

Is this one of the ones for the X5? I look forward to seeing the branding on these. Any word on what will happen with the coaches? Scrap or moving on?

I believe they are for X5, not sure when they'll go onto it though or what the future for the coaches is as yet

Yeah a few have them but the others that are converted (locally at least) have the Euro5 engine - this is the first to have a Euro6 conversion locally, as far as I'm aware.

Bee interesting to see if it sounds different the Euro 5s sound more like a Pulsar than a normal E30D

I haven't driven or really heard it moving tbh, probably sound similar to the MMCs or even how 27905 sounded as that was a Euro6 Enviro300.

Presume the 241** MAN's have a decent future ahead of them locally, they've lasted well coming up to 10 years old.....especially with a further 4 joining the fleet at GM, albeit with posher seating! Do we know how many are due to get Euro6 engines?

Cheers

Not heard anything officially, I think it is just a few being done across the country (some in Hull have been done too - ex GM ones as well!), work being done by ADL/Plaxton Anston I believe.
