Stagecoach MCSL - Chester & Wirral Depots
RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
And how much longer will the route take when it does go via Port Sunlight... It takes the mick as it is!

I am shocked that the N1 is returning in September. Of all the routes Stagecoach operate on Merseyside, this is not the one that I think is most lucrative. Was it that successful over the Christmas period? Surely the 82 and 86 (at least to Garston) would stand a better chance of success.

Since the demise of the night bus services in Liverpool, I have not socialised in the city centre in the wee small hours but, from anecdotal evidence, hailing a taxi after 1am has become problematic, particularly if you want to travel to the Wirral.

In my opinion, if Stagecoach considers that night buses on the Wirral have potential I would suggest that it tries them on the 471/2 and possibly Arriva routes 432 and 437.

As Harold MacMillan once said: "Events, dear boy!" No sooner had I posted the above observations, I learn from another link on this site that Arriva is to operate an hourly 86A night bus service to Liverpool JLA. Could it be that with the possibility of some sort of franchising in the future, the two main players are negotiating with Merseytravel or is new management simply testing the water with regards reintroducing weekend night bus routes?

Think 37440-37444 are due for Rock Ferry anytime now, did see a list that has them down for July delivery.

Would like to know how Chester will operate all this considering theres no room in Chester at best of times

Ruthin – Mold 1/X1/2 (Stagecoach)

55 Denbigh – Ruthin – Corwen – Llangollen – Wrexham (Stagecoach). An emergency timetable will operate (see website)

76 Denbigh – Llandyrnog – Ruthin – Griagfechan (Stagecoach). Some journeys will NOT operate

As its emergency and temporary they'll probably use Rock Ferry as well, at least to store buses if nothing else

I am no longer active on this forum.

Shame they don't have the Rhosrobin base in Wrexham anymore.

They will have a plan as there is no way they would have committed to those services without being able to operate them.

Very unfortunate that GHA has folded, but it could be an opportunity for Stagecoach to increase its presence in the area in the medium to long term?

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
I wonder if Stagecoach will move the X8 to Rock Ferry so the temp routes can be ran by Chester?
