The last few nights Port Causeway and Pool lane have been closed to enable road resurfacing to take place , what effect has this had on the service 38 and 41/2.

It seems over the last few weeks there has been a never ending set of roadworks taking place between New Ferry and Bromborough.

Im just waiting for the work to start again where they widened the road slightly and then left the road with a gaping drop off the road only protected with plastic blocks when they stick the next set of lights in there between the VW dealership and Bolton Road Port Sunlight .

The 41/42 and 38 have Been on diversion avoiding port causeway, some nights it has been accessible in one direction but not the other. They've been serving the croft as usual then looping around the back on thermal road before heading straight down a41, with little delay.

It's been chaotic when they've actually Been coning the lanes off as its been in peak hour.. queues back from village hotel to croft ave, with delays of 20 mins on 1,2,41/42/38. Once the peak is over they all run roughly on time.

I am no longer active on this forum.

Fire? Believe it's on loan from Gillmoss and not Chester as first thought, never knew 34600 was at Gillmoss

It looks like they are gradually resurfacing most of the junctions after they have had there new traffic signals put in them , so that they can put in the new traffic loops.

One major change is it at Bromborough Village Rd / Croft Avenue East / Spital Road junction is the filter for the right turn from Bromborough Village Road now happens before not after the traffic from spital Road has proceeded , thereby preventing the sight of a bus half across the junction as I had seen many times at this location.

Surprised they not finished the work from a year ago between pool lane and Bolton lane roundabout heading New Ferry as the red Barrier still there with the gap between road and pavement

Ye, the front of it went on fire in Chester Bus Exchange about 2 years ago now (electrical problem). Have a look inside and you'll see all the repairs. But it still stinks. It was off the road for well over a year waiting for ADL to send the correct part that it needed. Come back into service at Gillmoss, as a reserve vehicle i think, last year.
