RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
I guarantee that when that bus has been driven from Scotland to Liverpool down the motorway that them doors have took a battering. So bolts could of come loose. But, as for a whole door falling off, that doesnt ring true. They are bolted on in how many places? Think someones been going over the top saying a door fell off. And if it did fall off, pretty sure it the glass would of smashed when its hit the deck. So lets all look for a door with replacement glass in. |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
It's insane that this kind of error occurred on such a superficial element of the vehicle - it's a blessing that this happened on a normal road rather than on the motorway down here, or else it could have been a lot worse. I'd be questioning what other defects there are deeper within the working parts of the bus. For bolts to be missing - not even loose - means that quality control is questionable, at best. I get that this is a one-off thing, and I understand that Merseyside has seen a lot of AD vehicles enter service this year with nothing near as serious as this occuring, but it goes without saying that this occurrence was one time too many. |

How do we know that the nuts weren't there when the bus left Falkirk? It's perfectly plausible that they slacked off sufficently to then fall off on it's delivery and testing runs. Once they fell off, it's not exactly hard for them to be kicked, swept or simply roll off the bus leaving no evidence of their existence behind! But hey, why let that get in the way of a good bit of manufacturer bashing? |

Steven Knight media reports Chester's 34815/6 are going to Rugby (along with Preston's 34813/4, all ex Gillmoss however). More apparently *might* be off to Stagecoach South East (East Kent?). http://www.stevenknightmedia.com/fleet-news-ramblings https://www.flickr.com/photos/dmc1947/ |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
The Gold Buses where due to be put into service later than they actually started . Fishwicks going into administration and subsequently going out of business didn't help and Stagecoach thought the Gold buses going into operation when they did would release buses to help Lancashire County Council out with some ex fishwicks routes . |

Just passing Rock Ferry & noticed SN65 ODG moving about with the destination showing 'Metrolink Manchester Piccadilly'. That's quite ambitious ...!! |
