service earlier than expected

Although the timetable states that the Gold services are starting on 9th November, there is a link on the Merseyside & South Lancs website that states they are starting this Friday 30th October. This is the link

Strangely, the fleet numbers on the Golds have been applied to the windscreen.

Could be so its easier to fund whichever vehicle is assigned to the drivers as they book on duty.

I stated it because they are normally applied to the panel underneath the windscreen, dont think ive seen any applied to the actual windscreen before

I'm on a service 2 & the driver volunteered the information that the gold buses will be starting in service on Friday 30 October. Interestingly, when I suggested that the old buses may be needed elsewhere, he said he'd been asked to go & work out of Preston, but had turned the offer down. It maybe the case that the gold buses are being introduced to provide a readily available pool of vehicles to cover the loss of Fishwicks in Leyland?

Yes,only for the Fishwick crash the start date would have been 9 November, the drivers new uniforms are not available yet so no new fanfare for the Golds
