Stagecoach MCSL - Chester & Wirral Depots
RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
Given that these buses are used on motorways and get hammered only one breaking by down proves they are a reliable vehicle but apparently when questioned about when this he said ireplied when Rockferry are getting new Scanias next year really! I wouldn't think it warrants double deckers, also on stagecoach website it only mentions a new stop at shores lane which is the last stop before the bypass so that hardly constitues re routing

They arent unreliable. Only 1 has broken down sinse they entered service. What your probably reading is someome that sees Volvos and Darts out on the X8 so thinks the Enviro300s are unreliable but actually there is a rolling bus out some days, every bus has a 21 day inspection so is going to be off the road for a few hours, drivers taking mirrors off and with every vehicle your going to get little problems with them arent you. Its called wear and tear. We will see whats happening when the new timetable is avaliable to see but nothing has been mentioned about moving them so far.

If the new timetable enables the X8 to keep to time I can see this stop being extremely popular with the local residents as it will enable them to get to and from Liverpool city centre in 15 minutes.

Oh dear that's a bit embarrassing for both Stagecoach and Merseyrail .

Have Stagecoach did have a spare vehicle for this contract which will now be pushed into doing this work now , will stagecoach now be looking for another spare vehicle around there many fleets for cover.

The upper deck of the bus bodywork is actually designed like that (to come clean off) so as to minimise any potential injuries to passengers.

Thank God no-one was on board at the time.
Kind of ironic that it hit a railway bridge whilst on rail replacement!

On the plus side, it looks like Stagecoach have got a new open-topperLOL

Anyone taking bets on this vehicle being the dedicated bus for the New Brighton 15 next summer!

Maybe a ready made vehicle for service 15 if it happens again later on in the year .

Not knowing how Stagecoach work in these things will the bus be repaired or will it be a conversion to open top in the future.
