Due to a Police Incident Hyde Road is currently closed in both directions this morning from Devonshire Street to A6 junction at The Appolo, this is currently causing major delays to 201/203-207 services this morning

Apparently the only original Enviro 200 on the road at Middleton Depot now is 27598 with the rest including Stagecoach's own 27501 in storage at Hyde Road, also from what I got told today Middleton Depot's Centro is also currently off the road and was towed away from Depot earlier this week. Transfers in or loan to Middleton is off 22393 from Stockport

I have seen 9 of these so far operating the 141 either between 0730 & 0800 or 1715-1740 between Parswood & Didsbury village where it turns left onto Barlow Moor Road. It is sad to say that I haven't seen a single passenger on any of the ones I've seen. I hope this improves for them. Personally, I think they started the service a couple of weeks earlier than they needed to.

There doesn't seem to be too many students around just at the moment. Give it another 2 to 3 weeks & that should change.

I think that you are right...the freshers enroll over this weekend, and the majority of students will be in for classes on the following Monday, so hopefully usage will increase. I think it has been reported on here that MMU are subsidising the service, so Stagecoach are probably not overfussed by the slow start.

It would appear that JPT vehicles are now starting to be used on other Stagecoach services, as a Plaxton Primo in JPT colours was on the 80 this afternoon.

Are there any buses in reserve stored in Stockport? Last time I peeked through the gap in the big doors at Charles Street there was nothing visible. Even 22146, which had been there a long time, had gone.

Spotted Magic Bus President 18290 mistakenly displaying 372 Stockport when out of service.
Passengers waiting for the 142/3 confused moments later

Funnily enough I noticed one of Pioneer's Solo's in Ashton displaying '36 Bolton' on the front with '38 Ashton' on the side display. The driver looked very bemused when the passenger's told him.

All had passengers on and, from memory, all had passengers getting off or on at the Grafton Street stop.

Do we know whether the centre doors on the Tridents are being used or not?
