Romford today. And unlike my Winter Manc outings, I did treat Mr Souter to my feet (and derrier as I did not have to stand!) on 3 buses! I took a journey from Birkenhead to Manchester and back by Arriva buses yesterday, I generally don't take note of what vehicles I ride on, but I'll add the types of bus where I don't know the specific registration. Today I came to Merseyside to do Kirkby & Keswall! I used Stagecoach Manchester Enviro400/H to/from Manchester and National Express (Selwyn) Levante coaches to/from Liverpool. In the area, my itin was as follows:- 19 Kirkby - Stagecoach Trident 17269 walk to Kirkby station Merseyrail Moorfields - class 507 walk to Sir Thomas Street via Mann Island and Pret-a-Manger, Lord Street 464 Bebington - Arriva B5LH 4509 419 Upton - Arriva Cadet 2424 Arriva Trains Heswall - class 150 walk to Heswall bus station 38 Birkenhead - Stagecoach Enviro200 36818 492 Laird Street - Arriva "VLW" 4205 walk to Birkenhead Park Merseyrail Liverpool Central - class 508 I thank those of you who have given me advice recently. Knowing in advance about Tridents on route 19 helped. Other vehicles, including modern Enviro300s, I can do on my next "Liverpool heartland" trip, together with imminent Enviro400s, next time I come. I should be able to do these all on an Arriva ticket! This was the first time I rode a Stagecoach bus on the Wirral, and the first time I had seen the refurbished ticket hall at Liverpool Central. |

Went down the Pier Head over the weekend to check out the Mersey River Festival. While I was down there, I recognised a familiar-looking bus.
