RE: Manchester Community Transport
Spotted YJ11 ENR on the 44 yesterday, which has been re-painted from Oldham Metroshuttle livery to standard TfGM hybrid livery, although missing MCT logos.

RE: Manchester Community Transport
MCT have lost the 200 service, which will be operated by Stotts from next week.

From TfGM:

200 05/05/2014
Rochdale town centre shuttle
Run by Manchester Community Transport. Changed to depart from Rochdale Interchange from 0905 to 1705 on Mondays to Saturdays only. All journeys will be run by Stott's Tours.

Oh dear that was short and sweet.
I wonder why its changed operator so soon, and what will Stotts use on it? I think at the moment they have 1 spare Solo.

Have to say MCT have gone down in my estimations. One night last week their 169 was 15 minutes early heading towards Ashton. Not good at all!

RE: Manchester Community Transport
MCT lost their Ops Director a while back which could perhaps have something to do with things...

There's no excuse for running 15 minutes early.

15mins early or late from previous trip?
And Gary Young was "Made Redundant"

The 200 was a short term emergency style tender; it went out for public tender and stotts undercut MCT

15 minutes early.
It's due to pass my house at 23.09 it actually went past at 22.55.
Clearly the driver dosen't like to observe timing points.
It wasn't you was it Jimbo Smile

The original 200 contract was a trial to see how successful it would be and whether it was actually needed. Clearly it's done well and the permanent contract was put out to tender. Obviously Stotts put in a better price and won the contract. It's hardly undercutting and thier certainly not short of work so lets hope they make a good go at it.

Unfortanatly I cannot for the life of me remember the exact day and I wasn't actually waiting for the bus I was walking home from Ashton bus station but as I do use the evening 169 when the weather is bad I know what time it's supposed to run up my road and it certainly isn't at 22.54!

I did consider emailing MCT but dismissed the idea as I wasn't actually travelling or attempting to travel on it but now you've mentioned tax payers, which I'm one of, I wish I had.

RE: Manchester Community Transport
15min early if provable is big trouble for the driver, as is any running early really. The Traffic Commissioners' tolerance for such is one minute. MCT would also be in serious bother with TfGM.

Gary Young always struck me as not a man to cross, and being ex-TfGM someone who would take a hard line over such behaviour.

There may need to be a spell check on destination displays, as I noticed that on the 44 into Manchester this afternoon, it has spelt East Didsbury 'Esat'.
