RE: London Bus Scene
LT150 at Heysham, in a rather nice silver livery, something to do with 'Year of the Bus' with TfL (anniversaries of the RT & RM). Interesting that it's due for London United as up to LT147 were for the 148.......

That just remind of me similar Routemaster RM664 WLT664 delivered to London were silver livery in early 1960. I will go down to London may end of February or early March to see LT150 silver livery.

RE: London Bus Scene
Not that surprising given that the New Routemasters are on the main route 9. Shame that they couldn't introduce heritage Routemasters on sections of another route instead of just concerntrating on the 15.

LT150 going onto the 9 initially, transferring to the 10 which is to be converted to Borismaster in the spring. Details from a TfL press release this morning regarding 'Year of the Bus' http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/media/ne...29495.aspx

RE: London Bus Scene
Some of the planned reallocations for Arriva replacing LV with AR seem a bit daft, such as EC gaining routes 123 and 184, when route 102, 144 or 149 would have been better. Also, AR and WN are currently destined to gain Ts for one route alongside DWs. One simple standardisation is that EC will have plenty of single-deckers with AR and WN all double-deck.

What is bizarre is that buses will park at EC but drivers based at other garages and ferried to EC.

Although I prefer EC to LV, I so deplore these arrangements that next time in the area I may restrict my travels to Metroline, Go-Ahead and rail (including Underground)!
