RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Read today on another site that the 4 new vehicles expected soon at AZ and ST are infact E20Ds. What's the difference (if their is any) between these and the current Enviro200s at AZ and ST? Are they any larger?

E20D is just the new chassis designation for the Enviro200s, instead of Dart 4. They are basically the same size as the older ones.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Heard a suggestion today that Stagecoach are considering scrapping the Magic Bus service after 2016 in favour of a new student scheme, meaning Enviro400's would be gradually phased on to the route over the next three years as new hybrids arrived to cover the present routes.

I heard a slightly similar suggestion a few years back when they first started talking about phasing out the step entry Olympians and Dragons. The idea being that everything would be in corporate livery but they would have a selection of cheaper day/weekly/monthly student only tickets available to buy and use on selected routes only (presumably the current magic routes).

Interestingly I've heard this is what First intend to do if and when they take over Finglands, roll out a number of cheap student tickets available to buy and use on the ex Finglands services rather than have a batch of buses based at rusholme in a different livery ect.

So it does kind of make sense Sleepy

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Man out on late evening 236/237's tonight. Made a nice change traveling home from work on one of them instead of the usual Enviro200's.
