More power supply issues between Birkenhead North and New Brighton this evening with Merseyrail tweeting that they may be running rail replacement busses tomorrow.

I wonder if this is just a coincidence or a re-occurring fault from the other day.

Next february a lot of engineering work will take place on the Southport line between Southport and Sandhills. Presume the fish plated track between Southport and hillside will be done first.

508108 has gone up in my estimation somewhat after today's ride. Not bad at all. On the other hand, 508112 was terrible. Rough out of stations, annoying and persistent squeaking on the move and suffering from a loud knocking noise at certain intervals. Awful internal and external condition as well. Needs sorting.
